Hi, I'm Matt Herrera!
Nice to meet you.
I am a Registered Marriage and Family Associate Therapist (136003) in the State of California supervised by Lisa Jellison, M.A., LMFT#46430 at The Feeling Space in California. (Pronouns: He/Him/His)
I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist offering in-person and online therapy for adults, teens, and college students across California. Since 2021, I have helped clients navigate anxiety, identity exploration, trauma, and relational and intimacy challenges.
I provide a warm, attuned, and affirming space for clients from all walks of life — including LGBTQ+ individuals, artists and entertainment industry professionals, veterans, and people from marginalized communities. Whether you are facing a major life transition or simply seeking deeper self-understanding, I am here to help you reconnect with yourself in more grounded and meaningful ways.
Clinical Experience & Training
I hold a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California (USC) and completed my undergraduate studies at Humboldt State University. Before joining The Feeling Space, I worked at Matt Rohr & Associates in Pasadena, California. I am trained in Gottman Couples Counseling and Brainspotting.
I completed my practicum at U.S. VETS: Outside the Wire, where I supported veterans and student veterans living with severe mental illnesses, trauma, and adjustment disorders. I have continued to work with clients across diverse settings and backgrounds, including:
-
Teens and adolescents
-
College and graduate students

Outside of the Therapy Room
When I am not working, I enjoy traveling, being in nature, and spending time with loved ones. I am a fan of gothic and horror literature, live music, coffee shop wandering, movies, sports, and gaming.
